The Neighborhood Network Purpose Statement:

"Improving the Quality of Life for Newport News Residents through Technology and Education."

The Neighborhood Network Lab was established with funding from HUD for the residents of Newport News Redevelopment and Housing Authorities' public housing communities. Its purpose is to give local residents access to computer and Internet resources for job searching and homework. It also provides training and education that can increase the standard of living for NNRHA residents. Our computer lab is located at 3301 Marshall Ave., Newport News.

We have established Community Partnerships to help us bring programs into the Neighborhood Network Lab. Our current partners are Girl's Inc, Thomas Nelson Community College, The Boys and Girls Club, and The Community Empowerment Center. We are continuously looking for other agencies that are willing to offer the residents career development and education assistance.
