DO YOU QUALIFY FOR NNRHA SUBSIDIZED HOUSING?
To qualify for NNRHA subsidized housing, you must meet income guidelines, and your household may not contain someone with a drug conviction or a criminal registration requirement (sex offender).
Disabled individuals qualify if they meet the above requirements and receive SSI/SSD or have a certification from their doctor.
Low Rent Public Housing – NNRHA has three senior complexes which also allow persons with disabilities. There are nine family public housing complexes. Rent is based on household income, minus qualified expenses.
Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers – Section 8 helps residents rent a home or apartment from a private landlord. Rent is based on household income. Residents must pass the landlord's own screening and the waiting list is typically longer than for public housing.
