The Safety & Security Division works hand in hand with the Newport News Police Department. The NNPD have two satellite offices on our properties (NIPP - Neighborhood Impact Police Patrol) located at Marshall Courts, 3400 Madison Avenue, and Harbor Homes, 582 17th Street. Tenants can report any criminal activity directly to the officers at NIPP locations. The Authority also utilizes off-duty police officers from the NNPD to patrol our properties. These officers make arrests, enforce our “No Trespassing” policy, and report any safety and security issues. Property Managers work with them to control any illegal activities on the properties. Newport News police officers reside in several of our properties to enhance good community relations.
